"A transition can be said to occur if an event or non-event results in a change in assumptions about oneself and the world and thus requires a corresponding change in one's behaviors and relationships.

권하람 Haram (Henry) Kweon = TCK, third culture kid

    * 1st culture = Home ore passport culture.

    * 2nd culture = All of the places a child has ever lived.

    * 3rd culture= Community of people who have done the same thing.

Definition of TCK from Dave Pollock

TCK: A person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outsid the parents' passport culture. The TCK builds relationships to all of the cultures, while not having full the TCK's life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar background.

According to this definition, I am a TCK because my parent's home country is Korea, but I spent a significant part of my developmental years in Indonesia and in the Americanized school (MCS).

The books says cultural confusion is common for TCK and Yes!!! I also experienced cultural confusion in Indonesia. XD
